We listened to music and drew pictures of what we imagined while we listened.
Lee said “I drew a pig.”
Evie said “It’s a purple ballerina.”
Olivia said “It’s a mobile.”
Jake said “It’s a man doing ballet.”
“I drew grass” said Corey.
“It’s me going to the vets,” said TJ.
All our caterpillars have now made their own chrysallis which is attached to the top of their pot.
Now we need to transfer them to a bigger container so that they emerge as butterflies.
We helped Mrs Brislen to take them out of their pots and into a special netted container.
“We put them in before they get big” said Jonathon. “its wriggling”
“they are stuck to the roof” said Liam. “We put them in the net and when we’re in our house the butterflies will grow and then we’ll take them out. we keep them in so they dont fluttering around the class.”
“They look like spider webs. It’s all spiky” said Cody.
Poppy said, “it’s like a spiders web.”
“I can see gold” said Alex.
Warren said “I can see blue.”
“It’s straight” said Gabriel.
Calum said “It looks like a rectangle”.
We had great fun at the farm! Lee said “I liked feeding and stroking the baby goats.”
Olivia said “I liked the lambs.”
TJ said “I liked the bouncy castle.”
Lily said “I liked the baby pigs.”
Laurie said “I liked the lambs.”
Liam said “The cows made me laugh because they went mooooooo!”
Poppy said “I liked it when the sheep tried to run to our picnic”.
Lilia said “it was good when the cows were eating the food.”
“I liked seeing the animals” said Timmy.
“I liked going in the sand,” said Gabriel.
Elica said “I liked the bouncy castle.”
Some children drew pictures of our farm visit.
Using fabric, blocks and crates we made dens outside and played lots of games in it.
“We need blocks and a big cover and we made a door with a curtain” said Liam.
“We put blankets on to make a room and made it with the bricks outside” said Evie.
Next we could make animal homes with the den making materials.
We used the musical instruments and performed on the stage. some of us performed our animal dances. we have used our imagination to create dances and use instruments.
We retold and acted out the story: Jack and the Beanstalk.
“They were poor cos they never had no food”
“they have to sell the cow to get the beans. Then the man gave him magic beans and the mum threw them out of the window, and then they saw the beans grow.”
“In the morning Jack saw the beanstalk. Jack was climbing up the beanstalk, he heard the giant and he hides.”
The giant went in, he said “Fi, Fye, Fo, Fum”.
The giant had fish and chips, he asked for his hen then said, “Hen lay an egg”.
The hen laid an egg, he went to sleep and Jack woke up and got the hen off the giant.
We have been talking about The Sea Odyssey. We looked carefully at pictures of the marionettes and drew and wrote about them.
“They were walking around the streets to the water and the climbing frames were putting them on the boat, and they squirted water up in the air. They went on the boat and went to sea” said Cody.
